Hi-Railers are incorporated as a non-profit organization under the
laws of the State
of New Jersey . We
incorporated on May 4, 2005 when
the Articles of Incorporation and the By-Laws were approved by the
membership. We are located at 185

We
accept donations and contributions of trains, train paraphernalia,
memorabilia and other train related items.
The
Club meets regularly on every
Wednesday of the month. A business meeting is usually held
on the first Wednesday of every month at 6:30
PM. Regular members are
welcome to work on the layout or run trains any time they wish.
Regular members are given access to the building 24 hours a day 7
days a week. Probationary members will need to be escorted by a regular
member for the length of their probation. It is Mandatory
for all members to put a minimum of 8 hours a month into working on the
layout.. The club has a set of By-Laws that all members will be
expected to follow.
The
layout is in three distinct sections: the Southern Division features a
large passenger terminal and a four track subway system, the Central
Division features five mainlines and numerous crossovers and the
Northern Division features a large yard with steam and diesel
servicing facilities.
The
dimensions of the layout are 185.5 feet in length by an average width of
30 feet. The layout is located on the third floor of a building in a
room 250 feet by 50 feet with unobstructed views. The
building is an old silk mill hence we named our room Silk City
Station.
The
“Red” line encircles the whole layout and consists of 420 feet
of track that converts to almost 4 scale miles.
